Gold-D 1018

On 7 Aug 2017, we submitted our application to AVA (the predecessor of AVS) for permit to import Gold-D dog wet food.

What followed was an amazing convoluted maze.

We were asked to comply with fake rules that did not existed. Requests were made for documents that EU companies have not heard of. It was only after AVA was dissolved that things progressed.

When we thought everything was resolved, we were told to print the expiry date on the labels. All other brand's expiry date are on the cans so its strange why ours shoud be different.

The application was eventually approved and when the goods arrived, 1018 days have gone by from our application date to the day we got our goods!

1018 days

1018 days is a long time. Our long time friend who runs a shelter passed away before the goods arrived.

Bobo our adopted Golden Retriver was a model on the salmon variant. Bobo passed away of old age on 27 April 2020, weeks before the cargo arrived.

On 3 Sept 2021, we apply to the Singapore Book of Records to have this documented as the "Longest dog wet food launch delay in Singapore".

Journey

To mark this amazing journey, we launch 1018 campagin to raise 1018 cans of Gold-D dog wet food for shelters and feeders.
